Bases
At MGR we believe that a solid and level base is the perfect foundation for all Garden Buildings so we offer a range of base options to suit all needs see our range below.
Prices for larger sizes are available on request please contact us if you require this option, also Platform & Heavy bases can be upgraded to full composite models if this is an option you would like please ask.
These Guide Prices are base on your garden being relatively flat & Level additional cost will be added if the ground area for your base requires additional levelling etc.
Materials removed for installation is the customers responsibility to dispose of, but if you would like it spread around your garden flower bed areas MGR will do this at no additional cost while installing your base.
MGR are sorry to say we do not offer a concrete base option at this time.
Platform Bases
Our Platform Bases are made from 3 x 2 pressure treated timber, these type of base require a hard standing to go on top of this can be either an old slab or concrete base can also be set on types or gravel pad.

Heavy Duty Bases
Our Heavy Bases are made from 5 x 2 pressure treated timber, these type of base are designed with 3 x 3 recycled plastic legs which are concreted into the ground.
These bases allow for gradients up to 12 inches out of level.

Slabbed Base
The slabbed base is the first choice for many customers as it is perfectly flat & Level and gives a nice decorative look to any building if done correctly, but always remember if the slabbed area is larger than the building, the building going on the base will require bearers under it to reduce water damage & rot.

Gravel Pad
A Gravel Pad is created by the process of digging out the ground by 2-3 inches then a weed membrane is placed down, then 10-20mm shingle is placed on top and tampered down to make a level area for your building to go on top.

Eco Base
The eco base is installed the same way as the standard gravel pad but with the eco grid base installed into the gravel pad which help add more stability to the gravel within the pad.

12ft x 14ft = £1500
12ft x 16ft = £1700
Raised Sleeper Gravel Pad
A raised sleeper base is a good base if you are wanting a nice decorative look to your garden building, with some nice potted plants around it, it blends into its surrounding nicely.

8ft x 10ft = £1100
10ft x 12ft = £1350
This type of base can also have an eco grid installed into it for an additional cost, if you would like this additional upgrade then please request it when you contact us.
Additional Information
The Gravel pads, Eco bases and raised Sleeper pads are similar in there setup, each one is basically an upgrade to the previous type, and they are designed to be one size larger than the building going on them so a 6ft x 8ft pad is for a 4ft x 6ft building and so on up the sizes, this is to allow for perfect water drainage around your building.
